CANAL CLOSURES- FROM 19^TH JULY

There will be some towpath closures along the canal between the Caerphilly Boundary at Harry Roberts Bridge and the Fourteen Locks Visitor Centre. Closures will take place from the 19^th of July 2024. The closures will be signposted, and alternatives routes advertised but it may affect some school children in Rogerstone on their trips to and from school. The closures will be kept to a minimum, but will potentially be happening on and off, for the next 6 months whilst we carry out extensive canal works.

2. Thursday 18^th July – Leavers Ceremony ‘The Oscars’ 1.30pm (Y6 parents)
3. Friday 19^th July – Year 6 bowling trip
4. Friday 19^th July – End of Term
5. Monday 2^nd September – School closed to pupils for Staff Training
6. Tuesday 3^rd September – Pupils return to School

The Ultimate Eighties Extravaganza thanks!

Thank you to our Pupils, Staff, Parents, PTA, Community Police and Mr Rogers for making our Extravaganza event spectacular. The weather was kind to us and the pupils performances were superb. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. We managed to raise a total of £789.94 from your generous donations. Money raised will go towards purchasing resources to develop outdoor learning and outdoor provision.

Attendance Award

The class with the best attendance will be announced on Monday 15^th July. The reward will be to take part in a Newport Live penalty shootout and a session making smoothies with the smoothie bike. This will take place on Wednesday 17^th July during the school day.

Leavers Ceremony ‘The Oscars’

As we get closer to the end of term our Year 6 pupils are preparing their Leavers Ceremony for Thursday 18^th July at 1.30pm. Parents of Year 6 pupils will be receiving an invite from their child next week. We hope you can all make it.

STEM Kit Car

Thank you to Mr Hyland who has been working tirelessly with our pupils building the Kit Car this term. Great fun has been had this week racing the car and completing time trials. We have some excellent drivers in the making.
