Why we choose 'Investors in Pupil'
ESTYN recommendation R2 - Improve the provision for developing pupils' self-assessment and peer assessment across the school to bring it up to a very high level attained in a few classes

Through using 'IIP' pupils have set themselves targets that they have to try to achieve. All classes have the similar type of format (stars with some variations) as we wanted self-assessment methods between transition years to be smoothly transferred.
As the co-ordinator was new to the role he decided that a self-review of pupil participation was needed and Investors in Pupils provided the most effective way of doing this.
The framework also offered a chance to enrich an already enriched pupil voice curriculum at Mount Pleasant Primary.
