MONDAY 13TH MAY -Yr’S 4 & 5 SWIMMING FOR 3 WEEKS
Swimming lessons for Year 4 and Year 5 will take place week beginning Monday 13th May. Remember to bring your swimming costume/shorts, goggles, a towel and wear your PE kit / tracksuits too. Make sure everything is labelled.
RUGBY TEAM
MPPS rugby team took part in the latest tournament and were absolutely amazing. The best rugby we’ve seen them play, most tries scored and the most wins we’ve had. They came away 3rd overall. They played in what the coaches said was the “best game of the day” and narrowly lost to a very strong Glasllwch side in the last seconds. Well done not only to the team that played but everyone who trains on a Tuesday. Super proud! Well done Mount Pleasant!
SUN LOTION AND SUN HATS
At last the warm weather is here. Please make sure you apply sun lotion to your child prior to coming to school and provide a sun hat which is clearly labelled. Make sure your child has a clearly labelled water bottle which is appropriate for school with a secure lid. (No extra-large coffee mugs please).
As the weather is getting warmer cardigans and jumpers are often taken off throughout the school day, please help us by labelling your child’s jumper. Thank you
COMMUNICATION UPDATE
Please be reminded we have an open door policy and are happy to discuss any concerns or issues you may have. We will always do our very best to resolve any issues in a timely manner. This can be difficult for staff in the mornings when greeting pupils into school, if you need to speak with a member of staff please email the school office where we can make an appointment which is convenient for you. With this in mind I’d like to thank our school community for their understanding and support in this matter.
TUESDAY 14TH MAY - Whole school Workshop Tang-Soo-Do
(Health and wellbeing focus)
Pupils from Reception to Year 6 will get an opportunity to take part in a Tang Soo Do Workshop. Please can you make sure your child is wearing PE kit to school on this day.

FRIDAY 24TH MAY @ 2pm Whole School Booknic
On Friday 24th May at 2.00pm we will be holding a whole school booknic for parents and pupils from Nursery to Year 6.
Please come along and bring a picnic blanket with a few snacks and enjoy sitting with your child/children to share their learning journey. There will be an opportunity to write a celebratory comment on a heart shape label to be stuck into your child’s book.
Morning Nursery will be invited in at 10.45am and Afternoon Nursery at 2.00pm. We hope you can come!
