Good News

I’m delighted to inform you of some very happy news!

Mr and Mrs Prewett gave birth to another beautiful baby girl on Friday 21st January 2022, weighing in at a healthy 7lb and 7oz . Everyone is doing well, they’ve decided to name the baby Ffion Nia Prewett. Welcome to the world baby Ffion. I’m sure that Mali will be the best big sister ever.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Prewett on the birth of their beautiful baby girl. Baby Ffion attended our achievement assembly via TEAMS today! What an achievement, a little miracle. We’re all looking forward to meeting her in person very soon.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Miss Chatterton! She has been successful in gaining a post with CBI Intelligence Managing events. It is her very last day at Mount Pleasant today. We wish her much success as she embarks on her new career and thank her for working with us over the past two years. Keep in touch Miss Chatterton and good luck for the future! We will be welcoming Mrs Morgan to school next week who will be part of the team helping us raise standards in literacy and numeracy until Easter.

INSET DAY – FRIDAY 18TH FEBRUARY – SCHOOL CLOSED TO PUPILS

Covid 19

I ask all families to work with school to make sure we can operate fully and keep school a safe environment. Please help us do this by making sure you contact school immediately if there is a case of COVID-19 in your household. Please email mountpleasant.primary@newport.gov.uk to support us with the ‘warn and inform’ process. By doing this staff will be able to look out for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 within our school community and act accordingly.

Please help us operate fully and keep COVID-19 out of our school. It is important we all fully understand that any student or staff member with any of the three symptoms of COVID-19 e.g. new persistent cough, fever and/or loss of taste or smell, should not attend school but should self-isolate, arrange a PCR test and notify the school of this. We are asking all families to take a cautious approach.
