Friday 8th April
MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD
A big thank you to all of our families who have supported the school and their child throughout the Spring Term. We’ve had a super turnout of parents at parental consultations (albeit via telephone) and would like to thank you all for your continued support and Easter messages. We are so proud of our pupils who have managed to take to change of routine with ease and maturity. We’ve started to hold assemblies in the hall, dinner in the canteen and timetabled playtimes; keeping some of the good ideas that have come from COVID too.
The PTA have once again been working tirelessly to raise funds for our school, we’ve all taken part in a wonderful Easter Egg hunt today. The headgear for our Easter parade was eggs-ceptional!
I hope the sun shines for everyone over the Easter period. Have an Eggs –cellent Easter break and enjoy your time spent with family and friends. I look forward to seeing you all on Monday 25th April 2022
Miss Rutledge and all of the Staff at Mount Pleasant Primary School.

On return to school following the Easter break, please make sure your child brings a water bottle everyday to keep hydrated. Our school policy is to only water in school.

If your child needs to wear a sweatshirt please make sure it is their school jumper. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Covid 19
I ask all families to work with school to make sure we can operate fully and keep school a safe environment. Please help us do this by making sure you contact school immediately if there is a case of COVID-19 in your household. Please email mountpleasant.primary@newport.gov.uk to support us with the ‘warn and inform’ process. By doing this staff will be able to look out for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 within our school community and act accordingly.
Please help us operate fully and keep COVID-19 out of our school. It is important we all fully understand that any student or staff member with any of the three symptoms of COVID-19 e.g. new persistent cough, fever and/or loss of taste or smell, should not attend school but should self-isolate, arrange a PCR test and notify the school of this. We are asking all families to take a cautious approach.
