Welcome back to the Autumn Term, we all look forward to working in partnership with you over the coming academic year. The children have settled well and are eager to learn.

School Uniform and PE kit

Thank you to the Mount Pleasant Family for making a huge effort with school uniform. Everyone looks so smart and proud to be part of our school family. Please make sure that PE kit is worn on PE days. PE kit is a plain white t-shirt or polo shirt, black shorts/leggings/joggers and trainers. I ask that a school jumper/cardigan is worn with the PE kit and not a sports top.

Important Dojo Message

Thank you to our new families for signing up to Class Dojo, we look forward sharing important messages with you and celebrating achievements.

Please be aware we will not be responding or monitoring messages from home on Class Dojo. This is to ensure consistency in communication and to ensure that important communications are dealt with effectively. In line with this, please contact the office on 01633894820 or mountpleasant.primary@newportschools.wales if you need to discuss a concern or have a query. 

This does not affect our use of Dojo portfolios, which will still be used to share children’s work (including for Home Learning for Nursery-Year 3 when appropriate) or the use of Class Story, where we will share exciting learning experiences from the children’s day.

Queen Elizabeth II

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Her Majesty The Queen was a remarkable, much loved Queen, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Ruling for longer than any other British monarch, she was renowned throughout her reign for her unwavering leadership, dedication and service to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The Pupils and Staff of Mount Pleasant have taken part in a minutes silence in memory of her.

The Mount Pleasant School Family express their heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family at this extremely sad time.
